Hovertravel have once again suspended their cross-Solent service, but this time due to adverse weather conditions.
Strong winds have led to the suspension of service on the Ryde-Southsea Route this morning (Thursday).
The commuter route was brought to a halt for 3 hours yesterday afternoon due to a technical issue with both hovercraft. There has also been a number of cancellations every time the wind picks up.
Customers are being urged to travel on Wightlink’s car ferry service from Fishbourne due to limited capacity on the Fastcat from Ryde Pier.
An update is expected at 09:00 but this does not mean the service will resume at this time.
UPDATE @ 13:32 – Hovertravel’s service has now resumed.

Bridge!
Hovertravel can not help the weather.
No thank you very much, much as I am not a fan of the ferry companies!
