Hovertravel has been forced to suspend its cross-Solent service this morning (Friday) due to adverse weather conditions.
Wet and windy weather means the hovercraft is unable to operate between Ryde and Southsea.
Passengers are being directed to Wightlink’s Fastcat service instead, where hover tickets will be accepted.
An update is excepted at 09:30 but it’s unclear when exactly services will resume.
The weather is expected to be unsettled across the Halloween weekend too, as reported by Island Echo yesterday.
UPDATE – Wightlink has confirmed that it’s Yarmouth-Lymington service is delayed by 90 minutes due to the strong winds on the Solent.
UPDATE @ 12:17 – Hovertravel has confirmed that services will resume at 12:45 from Ryde and 13:00 from Southsea.
Wightlink has provided an update to say that delays on it’s Yarmouth-Lymington service have reduced to 60 minutes.
