A train crew member being taken ill has resulted in the a reduced Island Line timetable this morning (Friday).
As a result of the issue, trains running to and from the 2 coastal stations have been reduced to an hourly service. South Western Railway has confirmed that disruption is expected until 11:00 this morning.
Service usually runs half-hourly in both directions.
Purchased tickets are being accepted on both Southern Vectis’ Route 2 and 3 buses.
The Island Line has not long reopened following month long renovation works.
A South Western Railway spokesperson has said:
“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
