A power cut is affecting homes and businesses in central parts of Newport this afternoon (Friday).
12 postcode areas have been hit by the loss of supply, which was recorded at just before 11:30 this morning but continues into the afternoon.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks say they are aware of the issue and engineers are working to restore power as soon as possible.
It is currently anticipated that electricity will be restored to those affected by 16:05.

Just as well that most businesses are shut. Those drones obviously don’t work very well but then again they were only trying to find the oracle’s inflated ego not network faults
