HIGH WINDS CAUSE WIGHTLINK SUSPENSION

yarmouthpassengercolinmccraeWightlink services between Yarmouth and Lymington have been suspended this morning (Wednesday) due to high winds in the Solent.

The service was originally running 45 minutes behind timetable following the cancellation of the 07:50 sailing from Yarmouth, however the cross-Solent operator suspended services just before 09:00.

Wightlink say they have chartered an additional vessel to aid foot passengers travelling between Yarmouth and Lymington. It is expected that the service will be running from 11:00 until the car ferry is able to sail.
