High temperatures and blissful sunny skies are set to encompass the Isle of Wight this weekend, according to the IW Met Service.
Despite the weather this week so far being grey and dismal – with rain and thunder being experienced yesterday (Tuesday) – the Island should see temperatures rise as high as 26C at points across Saturday and Sunday.
Cloudy skies will make way for scorching sun from Friday morning, with temperatures rising to 24C. Temperatures will continue to increase across the weekend with Islanders being urged to take care when outdoors due to the ‘Very High’ UV levels expected.
Overnight temperatures across the weekend and into the beginning of next week will hover between 14C and 16C, with mild winds during the daytime of between 10mph and 20mph.
Weekend forecast:
Friday will be a very warm, if not rather hot feeling day with long sunny spells and light winds. Temperatures of 25°C or 26°C will be widespread with a few places seeing as high as 27°C.
Saturday will be another very warm or hot day with long sunny spells and just gentle breezes. Temperatures of 25°C or 26°C will again be widespread but a few places could well see as high as 27°C once again.
Sunday will be another sunny day across the island and feeling hot in many places with 27°C or 28°C being rather widespread.
The following week looks like starting warm or even hot, but a possible break down in the weather looks likely by mid-week along with cooler temperatures. More on this later in the week

Since when has 26 or 27 degrees been a scorcher we get hotter temperatures than that every year
