Police have conducted an aerial search for a wanted individual overnight following a car crash in Ryde during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
The National Police Air Service helicopter from Bournemouth was tasked to assist local officers at around 02:00 after a male was involved in a road traffic collision in the Puckpool area.
The driver fled from the scene of the incident, prompting the extensive search.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident currently remain unclear.
