The season of high speed motorcycle racing continues on Britain’s fastest raceway on Thursday (25th July) with the staging of the GT140 Island Masters, with no less than 22 top competitors lined up, including last year’s 2023 GT140 Island Masters Winner Ian Clark. Clark’s list of results is as good as you can get and no doubt the 2023 ACU British GT140 Champion, 2023 GT140 Gold Cup winner and former Peterborough Panthers speedway rider back in the late 70s. Is Clark once again one of the favourites? Other contenders include Kevin Gwillam, 2nd in 2023 British GT140 Grasstrack Championship and podium finisher at the IOW GT140 Winter Warmer Events; Wayne Broadhurst IOW GT140 Winter Warmer winner in December 2023 and January 2024, former speedway rider for Coventry, Wolverhampton and Poole; Mark Chessell, former speedway rider back in the 80s, previous lap recorder holder round the Isle of Wight on a 500, always likely to be pushing the front runners on the GT140.s; and Steve Newsham, 3rd in the 2023 GT140 Island Masters and former ACU British 500 upright grasstrack champion. This is a top class line up in which any of the riders could spoil the party and come up trumps. As well as the main event, there is also Speedway racing with the Wizards taking on Cradley Heathens in a development match, plus the usual junior racing (from 18:15).

The sooner they use quite battery cycles the better. The noise is awful in Slade road, and dust is made adding to many children’s breathing difficulties as it wafts into the air. The light pollution too is a blot on the landscape.
Add the risk of injury onto a NHS in crisis and two stroke fumes, all in the name of entertainment.
Blot on the landscape lol who are u, Mrs bouquet!?
Slade Road, which of course is known for being a tranquil and peaceful haven surrounded by acres of natural beauty and rolling countryside! Either you are a troll of the highest order or you are completely delusional!
