Local performing arts group Get On Stage is inviting children across the Isle of Wight to take part in a Summer packed full of theatre activities, following the success of their recent production, Alice The Musical.
The group has announced a series of events including a Musical Theatre Summer School, a Community Summer Fayre, and special Summer Sessions – offering something for everyone to enjoy.
The Musical Theatre Summer School will run from Monday 4th August to Friday 8th August at Newport Primary School, giving children aged 7 to 17 the chance to rehearse and perform a full musical in just 5 days.
The weeklong programme runs daily from 09:00 to 16:00 and includes acting, singing, dancing, and crafting, with participants creating everything needed to bring the show to life.

As part of their mission to build a creative and inclusive community, Get On Stage is also hosting a Community Summer Fayre on Sunday 17th August from 11:00 to 15:00, also at Newport Primary School.
The fayre will feature a BBQ, tea stall, local crafts, classic summer games, and live entertainment from Andie Penn, Get On Stage Youth Theatre & Summer School, The Methodist Ukulele Group, and Creationz Dance Academy.
To round off the summer, the group will hold 2 Summer Sessions on Sunday 24th August and Sunday 31st August from 10:00 to 12:00. These theatre-packed workshops, priced at £5 per session, offer children the chance to experience acting, singing, dancing, and crafts in a fun 2-hour taster.
