2 Isle of Wight school children, from Queensgate Foundation Primary in East Cowes, have safely delivered 6 crates of donated items to the town’s food pantry.
It follows a host of generous harvest festival donations, dropped off by families who attend the Beatrice Avenue school.
Year 6 school council members, Rose Clark and Leo Lippuner, were tasked with the vital job of helping deliver the precious items in the school’s minibus, which was described as ‘very full’.
On hand to receive it, at East Cowes’ Parkside Pavilion, was Christine Faulkner, she said:
“I’d like to thank Queensgate Foundation Primary.
“It has stocked our shelves up and the food will go to good homes in the community. Hopefully, it will last.”
Leo Lippuner, 10, said:
“We have brought the food people donated at school to the East Cowes Food Pantry. There’s loads!”
