Sandown’s Broadway Centre recently hosted the Annual Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat Christmas Fayre, with a miniature railway, arts and crafts, and seasonal raffle raising funds for the Kings Award-winning charity.
Organiser, and SSIL member, Richard Burns said:
“Thanks to all volunteers, stall-holders and the lifeboat team for making this the success that it was, and the event only gets better every year.”

Town Mayor Alex Lightfoot, who opened the event with the Town Council contributing £1,000 to the Charity, added:
“Richard, Mark and the whole SSIL crew and volunteers really go the extra mile for residents and visitors, and this heartening event is one of the highlights of the Christmas period.”
