After hosting its final events this week, FuBar is set to close its doors with a special auction on Wednesday (1st October), giving customers the chance to take home a piece of the quirky venue.
Doors will open at 17:00, with the auction beginning at 19:00. Everything is going under the hammer, from furniture and fittings to pictures and decorative items – even the 6-foot horse that has become a feature of the venue.
Viewing evenings will take place on Monday 29th September and Tuesday 30th September between 17:00-19:00, giving people the chance to browse the lots. Those unable to attend on the night can complete bidding forms in advance.
Bidding and registration forms are already available at FuBar, with more information on opening times published on the Facebook page. Enquiries can also be made by emailing [email protected].
Dani Johnson-Harriman, Director, has said:
“The opportunity is there for past and present customers to come and bag their own piece of FuBar memorabilia.
“There is also a fair amount of bar and catering lots for anyone starting out or needing extra items for their business. Our vibe can live on in many different places.”
Once the auction is complete, FuBar will officially close. However, the Facebook page will remain open to continue supporting its community, with the possibility of pop-up events in 2025.

I remember when it was the Bow Bars, besides the smell of drugs in there, goodness knows what they were, I remember playing the space invaders machine in there, great fun.
