A new MOT station has opened on Newport Road in Northwood, on the former site of Philips Fine Foods, offering a range of vehicle services to local motorists.
Northwood Autocentre, owned by Julian and Jocelyn Griffin, provides Class 4 MOTs, tyres, 4-wheel alignment, servicing and general repairs. The garage also stocks a variety of parts and consumables including tyres, batteries, wiper blades, oils and bulbs.
Julian Griffin brings 38 years of experience as a technician, working on everything from everyday cars to hypercars and supercars. His background includes motorsport as both a team owner and driver at national and international levels.
In addition to standard road car maintenance, Northwood Autocentre can offer specialist preparation, alignment and geometry set-up for customers heading out on track days.
Richard Quigley, Isle of Wight West MP, recently visited the new venture. He’s said:
“It’s always great to see new businesses set up and look forward to Northwood Autocentre being a huge success, providing great service and well paid, skilled jobs.”
