The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Eastern Yar this afternoon (Bank Holiday Monday).
The water level in the Eastern Yar remains high, however, it is now falling at Alverstone and is stable at Sandown.
In the last 12 hours, only 2mm of rain has been recorded at Wroxall with showers are expected this afternoon, but they should clear by 18:30.
This rain will not alter the current impacts significantly, or cause property flooding.
However, over the next 48 hours, the river will remain much higher than normal, with water ponded on low lying land.
Golf Links Road and Morton Common Road may continue to experience minor impact flooding until tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday).
The EA no longer expect garden flooding at Nicholas Close.
Tomorrow the weather is dry, which will give the river additional time to recover and allow the level to lower.
From Wednesday further rain is expected. The EA will continue to monitor the forecast.
Please remain prepared for continued minor impact flooding this week.
