Probably wise to avoid travelling on 30 Sept/01 October; If RF goes bust overnight (widely predicted), you might have a long wait to get ashore.
Still expensive for such a short journey, but at
least Red Funnel are doing something to help, what are
Wightlink doing to help!!
A sticking plaster to cover a heart attack! Red Funnel have until the 30th of this month to either sell up, or find millions of new investment, neither option has met with even a slight interest from the City. If the banks call in their debts, as is widely being reported, then Red Funnel will be history. It looks like the CEO is just closing her eyes, sticking her finger in her ears and shouting “nnnNNnnblahhh” Gosport ferry is also under threat I think… Good here aint it?
Time for a bridge or Tunnel, or just add a few more
miles of timber to Ryde Pier and vehicles and persons
could walk, drive or cycle to Pompey.
