Firefighters from Ryde and Shanklin have been involved in assisting colleagues from the ambulance service in removing a seriously ill patient from a property in Shanklin this morning (Monday).
2 pumping appliances and an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have been in attendance on Hyde Road, alongside the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The call for assistance was made by paramedics at around 09:45 this morning.
It’s understood that the individual has been placed on a stretcher and taken out of the property via a 1st floor window, with fire crews utilising the platform of the ALP.
