Firefighters from Newport and Ryde are tackling a fire in the open in the West Wight this afternoon (Monday).
1 wholetime appliance from Newport and a Land Rover 4×4 are on scene at Broad Lane, where hay has caught alight.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene between Yarmouth and Shalcombe at 13:45.
There are a few people about having disposable bbq’s on grass, scorching it.. then leaving it.. or put it buy a bin.
