The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have tonight (Saturday) assisted the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service in extricating a patient in a ‘life-threatening’ condition from a property in Nettlestone.
2 appliances from Ryde Fire Station were called to Nettlestone Green, the main through road, to help move the casualty at just before 23:10.
It was initially thought the aerial ladder platform may be needed to assist in the incident, but firefighters instead utilitized man power for a rapid extrication.
The patient, understood to be Male, has been rushed to St Mary’s Hospital by Ambulance.
Police remain on scene tonight as investigations get underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
