Wightlink customers are once again expressing their disgruntlement as the cross-Solent operator cancels yet more sailings, with no Fastcats from Portsmouth after 12:20 today (Tuesday).
A spike in cases of COVID-19 among crew members is causing the disruption to Wightlink’s catamaran service, as well as the Yarmouth-Lymington car ferry route.
As reported by Island Echo this morning, Wightlink will be continuing its winter timetable until 11th April.
The following sailings have been cancelled today:
From Portsmouth Harbour: 13.15, 15.15, 16.15, 17.15, 18.15, 19.20 and 20.20
From Ryde Pier Head: 13.45, 15.45, 16.45, 17.45, 18.45, 19.47 and 20.52
Customers with Wightlink tickets or passes can travel with Hovertravel during this time – if the service is operating. A bus will be available for transport between Fishbourne car ferry terminal and Ryde Esplanade, and the Hoverbus will also be available between Southsea and Portsmouth Harbour.

Afraid Wightlink only gave themselves to blame. They do not treat their staff well, having cut numbers backs and back, and now to still insist on a negative LFT as well as insisting staff stay off.
There is no legal requirement for this, so, sorry, but you have created this situation!
No worries though, it’s only the paying customers who suffer!
These ferries should belong to the island and all profits come back to the island. rather than going to private investors, who only have one thing in mind. profit, profit and more profit.
Doubt the foot routes make much if any profit
