UPDATED: A large tree branch has this afternoon (Wednesday) blocked Stroudwood Road, Ryde in both directions.
The impassable tree is causing disruption to both motorists and Route 37 Southern Vectis buses.
Island Roads are currently on scene and are making plans to remove the tree from the carriageway as soon as possible.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
UPDATE @ 14:30 – The obstruction has now been cleared and the road has reopened in both directions.
