Firefighters have responded to a vehicle fire outside Tesco in Ryde this evening (Friday).
1 appliance from nearby Ryde Fire Station was mobilised at just before 18:00 to reports of smoke coming from the front of a white Range Rover off Brading Road.
Crews have used a hose reel to extinguish the small fire, which appears to have broken out in the engine bay of the 4×4.
A cordon has been established around the scene to keep shoppers safe whilst the incident is brought to a close.
Environmental equipment is being used to contain a spillage on the carriageway.
Tesco remains open as normal.
Moron should have bought Japanese.
Then the only thing you’d have to worry about is a rusty old Datsun if you wanted to go classic in a 240z

Very negative attitude, in this heat there could be a number of reasons, one of those ‘ could be lack of maintenance ,’ unknown road damage from a stone, broken/dislodged cable or fuel pipe, are all possibilities. But you decide to run the unfortunate person down!

Taxis should be provided for disabled. Giving work to taxis, and then freeing up God knows how many parking spaces which can only be used by the ‘so called’ disabled
