A road traffic collision involving 2 cars is causing delays in Sandown this afternoon (Friday).
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are in attendance at the fairly minor incident, which has occurred outside The Heights at the crossroads junction of Broadway and Lake Hill.
1 fire appliance from Shanklin is also in attendance for scene safety having been called to the crash at around 14:50.
An elderly couple are being checked over by paramedics but they are not thought to have sustained any injury.
Although the cars have been moved to the side of the carriageway, traffic is slow passing through the area.
Motorists are advised of delays in both directions. The road remains open.
