4 Fire engines, Police and ambulance crews have responded to reports of a car crashing into a house in East Cowes this evening (Wednesday) – but the incident has already been scaled back.
Emergency services were called to Hawthorn Meadows, East Cowes at just before 17:40 following reports of a car having crashed into the front of a house.
The call has prompted 3 fire engines from Newport and Ryde plus the Rescue Tender from Newport to turn out, alongside ambulance crews and Police. However, the incident has now been scaled back as it isn’t as serious as first feared.
A parked, unattended BMW has rolled backwards into the corner of a porch fronting a detached property.
Thankfully no one has been injured in the incident and no damage has been sustained to the building. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said of the car which is already being recovered by Stag Lane Motors.
Emergency services are now preparing to leave the scene.
