UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have stood down from a mobilisation to Luccombe Manor Hotel in Shanklin following reports of smoke issuing from an electrical cupboard.
3 appliances from Shanklin, Ryde and Newport were sent to Luccombe, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Ryde and the Command Unit from Newport, at 09:30. However, the incident has now been scaled back and crews have returned to station.
SSEN have been called to the hotel to inspect a fuse board.
*It was initially reported that crews had been called to Luccombe Hall, which they had, but the incident was actually at sister hotel Luccombe Manor Hotel.
