UPDATED: An elderly man has been transferred to an awaiting ambulance by HM Coastguard after falling on a beach in Bembridge this morning (Friday).
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were alerted to the plight of the casualty on Swains Beach after nearby residents heard the man’s cries for help. A mother and son went to investigate and discovered the man in a state of agony.
