The individual remains in custody at Newport Police Station.
UPDATE – Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that a 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.

The judge must get tough and make examples of cretins like this driver who thinks it’s ok to drive whilst under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He could have killed people. Total idiot.
Totally agree apart from it wont be a judge it will be a local magistrate that deals with this idiot.
Problem is, a lot of these people think they will not be caught. Been shown many times that deterrents only prevent honest people from doing stuff like this. The ones we need to stop don’t give a …. and will do it what ever the punishment.
As much as I do not want a copper on every corner we do need a few more and get back a workable force. Must be hard for the coppers knowing they don’t have the numbers to do their job and protect us from these idiots.
Before sunrise you mean?
What a waste of money & effort to pass.your test then get banned so soon after.
Chances are he doesnt have a licence or only a provissional which will lead to driving with No Insurance etc as well as DOWL ( Driving otherwise than in accordance of a Licence ).
