A female driver was arrested in Sandown on suspicion of drink driving last night (Saturday) after crashing into 3 parked cars.
At shortly before 20:10 a Honda travelling on Avenue Road towards the High Street collided with 3 vehicles near the junction with St Johns Road, causing significant damage. Two of the cars – a Land Rover and a Vauxhall – are thought to be write-offs.
The driver is said to have stopped to give her details before fleeing from the scene, leading to a search by Police with the assistance of Police Dog ‘Chase’.
Once located, the female was breathalysed and subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit.
No one was injured in the crash.
