Island Roads’ fleet of gritters will be completing a double-run over the next 24 hours as temperatures on the Isle of Wight plummet.
At 17:00 this evening (Thursday) and 05:30 on Friday morning, gritting lorries will treat the local road network.
Motorists are still advised to take car when travelling.

Let’s hope Numpty motorists understand that
when they are driving in freezing conditions
it makes sense to slow down!
I bet tomorrow there will be plenty of unnesseccary
accidents due to speeding motorists.
At least the island is finally rolling out 20mph
