The team at Isle of Wight Distribution, who are responsible for delivering thousands of parcels across the Island every day, are once again taking part in Go Yellow Day in aid of Mountbatten Isle of Wight.
Delivery drivers, warehouse assistants and office staff have swapped their black T-shirts for a yellow T-shirt depicting a large sunflower today (Friday), showing their support for the local charity’s annual fundraiser.
Last year the Blackwater-based team raised in excess of £2,100 for the local charity – a target they are hoping to smash in 2022.
Chris Hall, Commerical Director at Isle of Wight Distribution, says:
“Raising the awareness of the work done by the hospice is extremely important.
“Mountbatten is a charity close to many of our hearts, and it is likely that we have all known – or known of – somebody that has benefited from their compassionate and first-class end of life care and bereavement support. To be able to help them in any way we can is a huge honour.
“Thanks to Rapanui who have kindly supplied the T-shirts free of charge”.

Members of the Isle of Wight community are invited to do something yellow today while raising vital cash for the charity – be it eating only yellow food, hosting a Big Yellow Tea Party or simply wearing something yellow!
