Staff at Currys in Newport on the Isle of Wight are set to take on the gruelling 26.5-mile Walk the Wight for Mountbatten – with the added challenge of carrying a washing machine the entire way.
The team is reviving a feat from 2014, when colleagues carried a washing machine from Bembridge to The Needles as part of the same event.
Named ‘Wash the Wight’ – as it was 12-years ago – this year’s challenge will see staff once again shoulder the bulky appliance across the Island on Sunday 10th May.
So far, £500 has been raised for Mountbatten Isle of Wight. Any wishing to donate to the cause can do so here.
As part of the fundraising effort, every £5 donated earns a raffle ticket, with prizes including a 4K TV, a Shark fan and a JBL portable speaker.
