Adverse weather conditions are yet again causing disruption to cross-Solent travel this morning (Wednesday).
For the second day in a row, Hovertravel has suspended their service between Ryde and Southsea as a result of the weather conditions brought to our shores by Storm Christoph.
An update is expected at 08:15 but this is no guarantee that services will resume at that point. No service operated at all on Tuesday.
Wightlink and Red Funnel are currently operating to their revised timetables but warn of possible disruption to services.
The Fastcat service between Ryde Pier Head and Portsmouth Harbour is suspended due to the COVID pandemic.
Although a yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office, local forecasters do not believe the Island will see the same impacts as elsewhere in the country.
