Those travelling across the Solent are experiencing a mixture of delays this morning (Monday) due to thick fog.
A blanket of fog has descended across the South this morning, which is causing travel disruption.,
Red Funnel are advising of 20 minute delays to their hi-speed Red Jet service, with 15-20 minute delays on their East Cowes to Southampton car ferry service.
Hovertravel say that they are running with 30 minute delays as a result of the fog.
Wightlink are also warning of delays to their Fishbourne-Portsmouth car ferry service – the only route currently operating due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Cowes Floating Bridge remains out of action this morning following its suspension at the end of last week. There is no word on when the service will resume.

They don’t control the fog, but are responsible for the broken bridge and for building over this Island knowing that jobs, roads, doctors, schools, hospital and quality of life for those of us who pay their wages, expenses and pensions, will all suffer greatly.

We don’t care about the none floating bridge so don’t mention it, sink the bloody thing.
As for the ferry’s, I thought technology did most of the work, I just hope none of the captains ever take control of a war ship…
