CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED SONGWRITER GEORGINA SHACKLETON COMING TO COWES

Medina Bookshop proudly welcomes the incredibly talented Georgina Shackleton this coming Monday (6th November). T. Georgina’s artful blend of fiddle, voice, tenor guitar and drones breathes new life into cherished classics and her own evocative compositions. Previously part of the renowned Shackleton Trio, Georgina has risen to prominence as a critically acclaimed songwriter, garnering nationwide recognition with radio play on BBC 2, BBC 4 and a BBC 3 live session. Georgina’s decadent melodies frequently draw inspiration from her East Anglian roots, crafting her own compositions that vividly evoke the captivating scenery of the region. Furthermore, Georgina takes great inspiration from traditional East of England singers such as Harry Cox, Walter Pardon and Phoebe Smith, infusing her work with the rich tapestry of their musical traditions. Doors open at 19:00 for a 19:30 start on Monday 6th November at Medina Bookshop, Cowes.
