What horrid people!
What’s going on in the world today? It’s all fear and violence even on the Island. Hope the man is ok and justice is served.
Wow, deserved a hiding? You deserve one just for saying that, the only cretins are the ones who attacked him, a group of lads on one man what a vile person you are..
He says probably living on the big island filled with knife crime, drug dealers, murderers, benefit frauds, thieves etc etc
Shanklin say no more
We are just about to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this Country
Just for the ungrateful of today to act like macho cavemen.
I bet they would have Sh#t their Chav pants
If they’d been called up to fight in WW1 & WW11
I didn’t receive my call up papers for WW11, when did that happen
That place has become Chav City, mainly from the mainland on a cheap jolly, you can spot them coming off the train ten times bigger than they should be, and that’s the females and the boyfriend is like a stick..
Wait til we get the even worse ‘sort’ living here, hacking off heads, although no one can mention that now.
Truth, would you like to come & meet my family, we are here to give our grandchildren a holiday after the horrendous year we have all had. Please do not judge us all by the few people that you see. None of us are 10 times bigger than we should be. We do not claim benefits, never have, I worked as a nurse until I was 70, my husband still works. Please do not judge us all by a few.xxxx
Teresa, I’m sure you and your family are wonderful people the kind of people we value on the island.
I didn’t mean everyone, I hope you are enjoying a well deserved break, good luck to you and your loved ones ❤
What on earth has the size of anybody got to do with anything!!!
Haa Haa! That’s funny and so true. Big fat fu*kers and twiggies
How do you know he didn’t deserve it??
How do you know he did? Angers me so much, there’s always one idiot that suggests someone may have deserved it after a serious assault its actually disgusting
Love u Laura x
tried to calm a situation. I’m the one who was left at home with his 2 yr old son who didn’t know where his dad was for 3 days? Do u think anyone deserves that?!
Are we really shocked, when you walk passed the holiday camp have you seen the dregs staying there.
Excuse me Ron I am staying here with my grandchildren & one great grandchild. I am a retired nurse, I own my home in South Bucks on the mainland, my husband works as do my children and the grandchildren old enough to work. My grandchildren are all well educated and of above normal intellect. from your ignorant comment I think my 7 year old granddaughter could beat you in a debate on any topic. We are here to give our family a break after lockdown.
Sorry Teresa, this really is nothing personal against you or your family. It’s just the ‘type’ that usually frequent this holiday camp. You certainly do not seem to be one of these ‘types’. I hope you have had an enjoyable stay and if you are looking for a change next time, Whitecliff Bay in Bembridge is very nice.
Drug deal gone wrong
Shocked at what happened, sad at the comments. We are mainlanders here on a much needed return holiday with our children. We have visited the island for 10 years and love and respect it. Certainly not chavs and saddened that people would feel that about visitors to the island.
It’s not the people visiting on holiday but chavvy unemployed drug users that come here from the mainland to live and more than likely running from old acquaintances . I should know as I have had a few as neighbours. Makes me feel embarrassed as an Islander when our much welcomed visitors see this kind of person and behaviour here!
Absolutely agree. Seems to be happening more now. Was never like this years ago. The island seems to be attracting the ‘wrong sort of people’ people who sell drugs and think violence is a normal part of every day life…..well it is to these skanks. We don’t want ‘this type’ here thinking the IOW is an easy way to make money selling dirty filthy drugs.
Unfortunately with some holiday camps they now still cater for holidays given these times which is great, but out of season some of them now seem to act as some sort of big HMO and crime and trouble follow.
Did I miss something where does it say they’re from the mainland? More likely to be a local dispute.
Eight police vehicles? Blimey, it’s feast or famine with the Island Old Bill.
It was more then that
I didn’t know we had 8 police vehicles on the Island!
Wonder what the man who was attacked had done? Why so many men to attack 1 man?
Because that’s what little boys that think theyre big do, taks a real man to fight alone
It’s was 5 men one one man
Nothing! They just needed that many ppl coz they were little boys starting on a man an there was no need! He did nothing!!!
How can such an incident occur when given the current restrictions on sites due to Covid, anyone entering the park should be seen and confronted. Surely Parkdean ought to take safety and security seriously enough to at least have had security personnel or camera footage of the incident. Furthermore, why is there no deterrent, making clear that the park is not open to the general public. Given the attack on a child in September on the Isle of Wight, whoever did this must be brought to justice and suffer a severe sentence. Lower Hyde is a holiday park – it brings money to the island – there has to be accountability beyond mindless,
discriminatory remarks about the size of people, chavs, etc.
It’s was 5 men on 1 man it happen outside my chalet on Lower Hyde the 5 men was seen on camera and they were in a car then on foot
Was it a random attack? We are just on our way to stay here with our children. I hope the man is ok, so awful.
Let’s think of what these people should get for this attack ? How about the six men take on 36 men with weapons do this sound fair? Different story then eeehh
I think people on this island forget that islanders also use this place, they also go through the grounds so this may not be anyone from the mainland that was involved it could involve our very own scumbags! Just a thought!
Yes, TOTAL SCUMBAGS.
We had booked two weeks to stay there next week. Just canceled. We don’t fancy a holiday in a War Zone.
We have just got back, we felt safe enough there, anything like this can happen anywhere.
what a vile thing to say!
