UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending a fire at Hong Kong Express in Freshwater this morning (Sunday).
Several appliances from Freshwater, Newport and Yarmouth, including the Incident Command Unit, are currently on scene in the town centre.
Fire crews were mobilised to School Green Road at 11:20.
UPDATE @ 12:20 – Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have entered the building and successfully tackled the small fire using a hose reel.
It has been confirmed that an overheating hob sparked the call out.
All appliances have now left the scene having used positive pressure ventilation to rid the building of smoke.
