Charis Jones travelled to Goodwood to compete in the Women’s Nat B Kennel Hill Classic last weekend (Sunday 30th March).
The race was over 5 laps of a sporting course with a strong headwind in places which made it tough going. Charis was up against some of the top elite women in the country and knew that as she had little experience at this level, she would have her work cut out, but she was determined to give it her best shot.
She dug in for the first lap and a half, but the bunch then splintered on the Hill after another strong attack – she was left in a chasing group behind the leaders and battled on to finish in a creditable 32nd place.
