UPDATED: Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision on Station Road in Wootton this afternoon (Saturday).
A white VW Golf has come to a stop side-on across the road near to The Woodman’s Arms pub after colliding with a wall.
No other vehicles appear to have been involved in the incident.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene alongside Police, who have closed the road in both directions.
Traffic is already heavy in the area with significant delays heading into Newport as a result of the closure of the Medina Way link road.
UPDATE @ 14:50 – The road has now re-opened.
