A road traffic incident on the main road between Newport and Cowes is causing rush hour delays this morning (Monday).
The incident has occurred at the bottom of Horsebridge Hill, close to HMP Isle of Wight.
Island Echo is told it involves a silver Mini.
Traffic is currently backing up towards Cowes past Stag Lane.

There are always accidents on this road, it should be 30mph up until the Stag In coming from Newport. Fairlee has a limit of 30mph and that works fine.
Thought this was a built up area? If so, speed limit is 30mph.

since the removal of the speed cameras, traffic does move a lot faster, put them back even if just empty boxes they work, at slowing the traffic.
It’s obvious to me we are too overcrowded in this Country & these things happen as a result, it’s certainly not going to get any better, that’s for sure !
They’re only supposed to blow the bloody door off…
