Cowes RNLI lifeboat raced across the Solent last night (Saturday) to reach 2 men who had ended up in the water after their dinghy capsized.
The men were in the process of reaching the shore from their yacht moored in the Beaulieu River when their small dinghy overturned.
Luckily, both men were wearing lifejackets and managed to reach a mid-river pontoon.
The casualties began to suffer from the cold, which soon required some initial treatment from 2 members of the lifeboat crew.
The yachtsmen were rushed ashore to a waiting ambulance at Gins Farm, Beaulieu.
The lifeboat, which had launched at 20:15, returned to station just over an hour later at 21:21.
