Hampshire-based textile technology company Covec Ltd has joined forces with the Island’s speedway team once again in 2017 to supply the very latest high tech safety materials to prevent rider friction and abrasion injuries.
The Covec Airflow has saved many riders already from serious burn and skin friction injuries and will add to rider education in an area that has been over looked for many years.
Isle of Wight Speedway promoter Barry Bishop said:
“This is a fantastic partnership from 2 local business, not only does it show our commitment to rider training and safety, it demonstrates the value of the Warriors brand.
“We are extremely proud of My First Skid and already it is creating new interest in the club and speedway in general so we know it works. I am thrilled that Covec’s sponsorship has now extended to include both the club and My First Skid”.
Covec supported the Wightlink Warriors in 2016, the inaugural year for the new promoting partnership.
Keith Bloxsome CEO of Covec Ltd added:
“Speedway has a strong UK presence and being able to work closely with a local team professionally run helps to raise the awareness of the Covec technical textile brand”.
