Isle of Wight MMA fighter Connor Tymon has won his 2nd Welterweight Champion belt at the South Coast’s biggest mixed martial arts show, Shock ‘N’ Awe, at Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday (14th October).
After being called out by Yassine Adjadj who fights out of Team Underground, the fight was originally scheduled to take place at Island Fight League in Newport, back in June. However, due to an injury, Adjadj had to withdraw from the fight. The long-awaited fight was then rescheduled to take place at Shock ‘N’ Awe.
After a strong 1st round, Connor Tymon won the fight by submission in the form of a kimura, with only 1 second left on the clock.
After winning his first title fight at Island Fight League in June, Tymon became a double Welterweight Champion only 4 months later.
