Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were called to East Cowes this morning (Sunday) following reports of a dinghy ashore at Slip Pier.
HM Coastguard tasked Ventnor CRT at 08:36.
Upon arrival, a short search was carried out and quickly located the cause of the alert.
With further investigations, it was deemed that the dinghy may have blown off a boat from within one of the local marinas.
The dinghy was removed from the short and secured by the coastguard rescue team.
A spokesperson for Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team has said:
