CLOSING DOWN! MOUNTAIN WAREHOUSE TO CLOSE RYDE SHOP ‘BY CHRISTMAS’

After just 5 years on the High Street, Ryde’s Mountain Warehouse is set to close ‘by Christmas’. A closing down sale has been announced by the national outdoor retailer stating ‘everything must go’. Mountain Warehouse took on the prominent premises opposite Costa Coffee back in 2018 after it had sat empty for around 8 years, previously trading as discount store Beamans and then Quids In. Now, it looks as though the shop will be empty once again and within just a matter of weeks. Staff have confirmed that the store is to close its doors for good this side of Christmas – within the next 6 weeks. It comes just months after Mountain Warehouse relocated their Newport store to the former Co-Operative on South Street – said to be 1 of the biggest stores in the company’s portfolio.
