A Gloucester resident, who will be attending the Isle of Wight Classic Car Show in September, is seeking historical information on his 1937 Buick Convertible.
The Buick was in Cowes and around the Isle of Wight from the 1950s to the 1970s. It had 2 island owners: Harold Marvin, a sailor living on his yacht The Coral of Cowes at Marvins Yard (now called Medina Yard) and Mr Leonard Carroll of Mill Hill Road, Cowes.
The car’s current owner, Andy Lerry, will be attending the classic car show and will be on the Island from Thursday 1st until Monday 5th September 2022, in his Buick, and would welcome any information provided by Isle of Wight residents.

Isn’t it the car a well known island photographer used to own ..
can’t remember his name ..he used to photograph weddings
Think that was an Armstrong Siddley ( Hurricane?) drophead. It was also cream and he always wore a panama or trilby hat.
