Prolific thief Daniel Kilshaw is set to spend Christmas behind bars after an off-duty police officer caught him stealing in TK Maxx in Newport.
Kilshaw, 43, of Cornwall Road in Ventnor, entered the store on Wednesday (20th November) and helped himself to £249 worth of coats.
Little did he know he’d already been spotted by an off-duty officer, who recognised him prior to the theft taking place. The officers then followed Kilshaw and arrested him.
Island Echo has reported on several of Kilshaw’s court appearances including 7 counts of theft and possession of a knife in October 2020, possession of 13 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine in December 2021, plus an appearance in March 2022 when he caused criminal damage to Sandham House in Sandown.
The 43-year-old was sent to prison in January and July 2024 and was last in court before – the committal of this latest offence – back in August.
Kilshaw appeared before Magistrates yesterday (Thursday), where he admitted the single count and was jailed for 14 weeks.
Theiving piece of scum will have a better Christmas in klink than a lot of working families out here. The do gooders make ass laws like, it’s his human right, see to that. Seems like if you are low life scum you get thought more of, while working people get crapped on from every possible angle. These people are the only ones bringing revenue into the country and deserve respect
shame you can’t do more to pricks likes this..
