St Catherine’s School and College hosted their annual Christmas Fair and Fun Day last weekend (14th December) raising around £1,900 to support its work with students, who all have speech, language and communication needs.
The event held at St. Catherine’s Church, Ventnor attracted families and friends from the community. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by special appearances from beloved characters, including The Grinch, mischievous naughty elves, Spiderman and the enchanting Elsa from Disney’s Frozen. Guests were also treated to an array of entertainment, with live music performances by local talents Greg Barnes and Amy Jolliffe, alongside the vibrant group For SX Sak.
The market featured an impressive selection of vendors offering handmade gifts, all showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship of local artisans. From unique decorations to thoughtful gifts, there was something special for everyone, making it a perfect opportunity for Christmas shopping.
Tanya Smith Fundraising and Marketing Assistant expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated, from the vendors to the performers and guests, stating:
“The spirit of Christmas was truly alive, and we are so thankful for the support of our community.”
Well done to everyone.
