Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is responding to an electrical fire at Tesco Express in Wootton this afternoon (Thursday). 3 appliances and an aerial ladder platform are at the scene off the High Street, where shoppers and staff have been evacuated. The incident began around 14:50. Firefighters are currently using 1 hose reel jet and positive pressure ventilation, with the situation appearing under control. Island Echo is told that electrical wiring on top of one of the chiller units is to blame. 
Fire crews are providing immediate casualty care to 1 person – a staff member – with the attendance of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service requested.
UPDATE @ 15:33 – Crews are now standing down from the incident. Paramedics have arrived and are checking over 1 male. The store remains closed at this time.
