A child has been taken to hospital following an incident with a car near a primary school in Cowes this afternoon (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to Ash Grove at around 15:00 when a 9-year-old girl was injured following an incident with a passing car.
According to an email sent out by Lanesend Primary School, the youngster has received foot injuries and has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital.
The scene has since been cleared.
