Reece Chilcott, who was only recently spared jail for a string of pharmacy burglaries on the Isle of Wight, has gone on to commit an almost identical crime – this time alongside his brother.
34-year-old Reece Chilcott, previously of Slade Road in Ryde and now of Westridge Road, Southampton, was sentenced on 18th January for multiple break-ins at pharmacies in Newport, which occurred in September last year.
Furthermore, he was also caught carrying an imitation firearm and had stolen alcohol from Morrisons in Sandown.
Despite the serious nature of those offences, he was handed a community order and avoided prison – much to the disgruntlement of Island Echo readers.
Less than 10 days later, Chilcott broke the law again – this time targeting the Boots Pharmacy on Sandown High Street in the early hours of Sunday 25th January, as previously reported.
At around 03:58, Police were alerted to an alarm activation at the premises. Officers arrived to find a smashed window, with prescription medication and a till stolen from inside.
Reece Chilcott and his younger brother, 31-year-old Billy Chilcott of Culver Parade in Sandown, were arrested and later charged with burglary.
Both men appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday), where they both pleaded guilty to burglary.
Billy Chilcott has been remanded in custody to appear at the same court for sentencing on Friday 6th February.
However, Reece Chilcott is facing a much harsher sentence and has been remanded to appear at Isle of Wight Crown Court for sentencing on Friday 27th February.

This is why, little smacks on backs of hands and a telling off, don’t work with vermin like this. They need locking away for a long time… ARE YOU LISTENING JUDGES
Let’s hope this time they get ongoing and significant targeted drug addiction help and not just methadone in jail.
these junkie losers need to be left in a cell to suffer full on withdrawal and cold turkey. They didn’t care about the help being offered to the patients whose medication they stole, so why should society care about these two scumbags. Let them suffer in a cell.
The chuckle brothers strike again !
So, what are these little darlings receiving this time, all inclusive 6 month Caribbean cruises?
About time they and many others like them are dealt with properly, receiving a meaningful custodial sentence of a few years.

Cancel their benefits and conscript them into the army.
The Military services are short of personnel, if all law breaking
numpties were conscripted it would teach them respect and
discipline and keep our streets safe.
The Government could do so much to tackle crime
kill 2 birds with 1 stone as they say!
Save on benefit money and strengthen our armed
forces.
It’s a win win for everyone.
