Wessex Cancer Support’s Christmas Drive-In Cinema will return to the Island this December, it has been announced.
The charity’s festive film event will run over 3 days at Robin Hill Adventure Park, between 12th-14th December 2025.
Christmas favourites such as Home Alone, Die Hard, Love Actually and Elf will be among the 8 festive films shown on the giant LED screen.
Lorraine White, Wessex Cancer Support’s Head of Community, Events and Partnerships, says:
“We’re really excited to bring back the Christmas Drive-In Cinema this year. We know how much people love to watch a Christmas classic on the big screen from the comfort of their car.
“After a short hiatus, we’re so pleased to bring the event back to Robin Hill where it first started in 2018.
“Thank you to the team at Robin Hill for having us back, it’s going to be a great weekend and we can’t wait to see everyone there.
“A huge thanks also to our sponsors, WH Brading, White Windows, Hose Rhodes Dickson, Isle of Wight College and ICR Touch for making this event possible.”
Tickets for the Christmas Drive-In Cinema are available now. The suggested minimum donation is £25 per car.
Money raised from the event will help the charity continue to support local people affected by cancer.
Lorraine adds:
“A cancer diagnosis can turn people’s lives upside down. Our cancer support centre in Newport sees hundreds of people every year providing vital services such as counselling and therapies, to help them cope with cancer.
“We’re really excited to organise such a fun, festive event in the run up to Christmas, and, with the help of everyone who attends, we hope to raise a significant amount of money so we can continue to be there for local people who need us.
“Please get behind us as much as you can. Thank you.”
The films start on Friday 12th December, with The Muppet’s Christmas Carol followed by Die Hard.
Elf, Home Alone and Love Actually will be screened on Saturday 13th December, with The Polar Express, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and The Holiday set for Sunday 14th December.
